One of the aspects frequently used as the main theme of several projects is the Respect to the Nature in different respects that have been widely known to be based on the perspective of Shinto Religion that has been the original religion of the Japanese. Examples of such concept are animations by Jibli Studio. Furthermore, art works that have been created with cutting edge techniques also reflect such concept. This paper concerns the study on immersive art works that were displayed displayed with Interactive Art Installation Technique by ‘Team Lab’ Group. This study is based on the real experience of me, the researcher, because art works in this style needs audience’ interactions. Afterward, the works by this group were analyzed how they reflected the respect to the nature. The findings from the study showed that works by ‘TeamLab’ Group presented the spirit of Shinto Religion through complex relationships between human beings and the nature, by reflecting through digital art works as follows: 1. Concept of Gods (Kami); 2. Concepts of Good and Bad Things; 3. Concept of Purification for Soul; 4. Concept of Purity and Integrity; 5. Concepts of the Understanding of Life and Death; 6. These experiences, stemming from broken families, divorced parents, and prolonged separation from loved ones, impact the mind and current expressions of behavior, causing suffering. However, these experiences have also served as inspiration for the creation of mixed media works and installations. Building on the creative exploration of ‘The State of Suffering (Mental Therapy)’, the researcher employs wire as a material, expressing it through a semi-abstract form using visual art techniques, particularly wires represented by metal fiber materials. The process involves knitting, bending, interlocking, and overlapping to shape the material into forms reminiscent of various parts of the human body, portraying the state of the subconscious mind. These installations are placed in specific areas using creative methods of presentation. To enhance the understanding of themes, symbolic shapes, and techniques, the researcher gathers information from initial inspiration, related documents, and influences from other artworks. This information is then analyzed to achieve clarity in the creative process. Visual elements, materials, techniques, and principles of visual art and aesthetics are utilized to respond to ideas, resulting in creative works that have their own unique characteristics.

The results of the research revealed that utilizing wire as a visual element to knit, bend, and join together creates a shape resembling the human body. This form is suspended from the ceiling, exerting its weight in a semi-abstract manner. When strategically installed in an artistic style within a specific area, it conveys the meaning of suffering originating from the subconscious state. Operating within the framework of ideas inspired by personal experiences, the work communicates thoughts and feelings through media, materials, and techniques. Consequently, it has evolved into a contemporary, uniquely beautiful creative work. The outcomes of this creative research have led to distinctive and novel discoveries.
2025-12-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen Universityhttps://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/fakku/article/view/271591Plant-Based Solutions for Metalcraft: Alternative Non-Toxic Copper Patination Method from Thai Fruits and Vegetables2024-08-07T15:23:44+07:00Pattiya Harputpongh.pattiya@gmail.comEakachat Joneurairatanaejeak9@gmai.comVeerawat Sirivesmasveerawatsi@gmail.com
The patination process in metalcraft traditionally involves highly corrosive and toxic chemicals. Although low- and non-toxic patination methods have been explored, plant-based materials remain under researched. This study, conducted in Bangkok, Thailand from March to June, set objectives to experiment with Thai fruits and vegetables’ ability in creating patinas on copper, catalog those producing distinctive results, and provide a discussion and suggestions for this alternative, plant-based, non-toxic patination method in metalcraft. Eight solutions were applied to 0.1mm thick copper sheet for 3-4 days, resulting in a variety of non-toxic patinas. It was found that plant solutions with pH 2 created a matte green patina, while pH 4-5 produced iridescence. However, despite being both pH 4, Tomato created matte green, and Mango produced iridescence, suggesting sweeter juice content leads to iridescence. SEM analysis revealed that thicker layers of corrosion products appear green, while thinner layers appear iridescence, with no significantly difference in components. The eight Thai fruits and vegetables solutions resulted in patinas in a range of textures and hues from matte green to shiny iridescence and semi-matte gray-purple. These plant-based solutions offer an eco-friendly option for jewelry, product design, and metal craft.
2025-12-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen Universityhttps://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/fakku/article/view/271600Digital Art Creation from The Legendary of the Mom Creature within the Lanna Contemporary Dimension2024-08-08T13:21:56+07:00Tanawitch Ninlawantanawitch_ni65@live.rmutl.ac.thTragoonphan Patcharamethahounktp@gmail.com
The objectives of this research are: Firstly, to study the original content patterns and beliefs of the legend of "Mom," a creature derived from the historical beliefs of the Lanna culture in the past. The research focuses on uncovering the narrative structures of these films and employs 2 theoretical frameworks: folklore studies and mass communication. The findings reveal that Pixar's animated films employ diverse narrative structures, which can be categorized into 7 distinct patterns. The variations in narrative structure arise from two main factors: the number of narrative phases and their sequencing. While some Pixar films repeat certain phases, none deviate from a sequential progression of phases, which consistently follows the order of exposition, rising actions, climax, falling actions, and ending. This contrasts with Thai feature-length animated films, where some, such as Yak the Giant King, reorder the narrative phases. For instance, Yak the Giant King begins with the climax, falling actions, and then proceeds to an exposition, deviating from the linear narrative structure typical of Pixar films.

2025-12-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen Universityhttps://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/fakku/article/view/272410Characteristics of Ceramic Craftsmen in Hongdian Street, Jingdezhen, China: The Innovative Design of Modern Ceramic Works2024-08-28T16:45:03+07:00Yang Liu524774360@qq.comPuvasa Ruangchewinpuvasa@gmail.comPoradee Panthupakornporadee@buu.ac.th
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the characteristics of Hongdian Street ceramic craftsmen; 2) to study the ceramic production skills of Hongdian Street; 3) to study the methods of integrating Hongdian Street ceramic production skills with modern design innovation; 4) to create modern ceramic works and promote the ceramic skills and culture of Hongdian Street. The results show that: 1) The craftsmen of Hongdian Street ceramics have their own unique identity elements of diligence, meticulousness, progress and determination. 2) The craftsmanship techniques of Hongdian Street ceramics are clearly reflected in the classification of their work, including painting (hua pi), which involves freely drawing lines on plain white ceramics by arranging compositions, drawing patterns and shading, and adding color (tian pi), which involves filling in the gaps in the pattern to create dimension. This is a clear classification of the industry’s unique identity. However, skilled craftsmen can only classify their work into one category: adding color without painting and drawing without adding color, which are mainly small shops. 3) The knowledge system acquired by integrating Hongdian Street ceramic production skills with modern design innovation is to reinterpret traditional craftsmanship, incorporate emotional expression of modern artistic expression techniques, and explore cross-border cooperation and multidisciplinary integration; 4) Create a set of modern ceramic works, promote Hongdian ceramic skills and culture, and promote the innovative development and inheritance of traditional ceramic art.
2025-12-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen Universityhttps://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/fakku/article/view/280815Thao Pha Daeng Song Khrueang: The Construction of Thai Performing Arts from Isaan Folk Literature2025-08-06T13:55:34+07:00Sittirat Pookaewspookaew@kku.ac.th
This research aims to construct a Thai performing art from Isaan folk literature "Thao Pha Daeng Song Khrueang." This research is creative research with the data acquired from document analysis, textbook, research, and fieldwork data collection. Informants were purposively selected. Research tools included structured interviews, evaluation forms, and focus group discussions. Research findings are presented using descriptive analysis and illustrations. The research results indicate that "Thao Pha Daeng Song Khrueang" was inspired by an Isaan folk tale called Phadaeng Nang Ai. It was constructed as a traditional Thai performing art to depict Thao Pha Daeng's bathing and dressing. The performance is divided into three sections: 1) Song Sukon (anointing fragrance), 2) Song Khrueang (dressing), and 3) Song Acha (mounting the steed). The construction process involved three steps: 1) Preparation, 2) Implementation, and 3) Evaluation. The performance's elements and choreographic style follow the Lakhon Phanthang style. The dance movements were adapted from basic Thai classical dance gestures and newly created dance gestures, categorized into 15 main movements for the Long Song Song Khrueang (bathing and dressing) sequence and movements accompanying instrumental music.
2025-12-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen University
