The application of the principle of Aparihaniyadhamma to the administration of Muang Ngam Municipality, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province

Abstract

The administration of local government organizations is a service to the people. For the benefit of the people in the area It is very important that personnel have principles of ethics as part of their management. In order to operate efficiently .The objectives of this research article were to study the application of the Aparihaniya dhamma to the administion and the guideline for developing the application of the Aparihaniya dhamma to Muang Ngam municipalty, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province. The research population consisted of 174 of municipal personnel, five of the key informants were selected by purposive sampling. The employed research instruments were questionnaire and the interview form. The statistics employed for the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The findings were as follows; 1) The overall of an applying the Aparihaniyadhamma to the Muang Ngam municipalty, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province; was at high level (µ = 3.96, Ơ = 0.76). tTe highest mean was the preparedness of the meeting aspect (µ = 4.14, Ơ = 0.63) and the lowest mean was the supporting talented and virtuous people as leader aspect (µ = 3.73, Ơ = 0.84); and 2) the guidelines for developing the administion according the Aparihaniyadhamma should be (1) given an opportunity to express their opinions, explain or clarify their work.; (2) raised awareness about the importance of the meeting; (3) reviewed and evaluated to ensure compliance with the predetermined rules; (4) respected and accepted the leader of the organization; (5) listen to the opinions of all parties like a good friend.; (6) encouraged personnel to regularly participate in activities with religious places; and (7) honored on the personnel who perform their duties with integrity and morale that could be role model for their colleagues.
