Expectations and Perceptions of Undergraduate Student in Faculty of Engineering towards Educational Management of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi

Abstract
This research aimed to 1)study the level of expectations and perceptions of students in Faculty of Engineering towards educational management of KMUTNB and KMUTT, 2)compare expectations and perceptions of students, and 3)study the relation between expectations and perceptions of students. This research is a Mixed Methods Research. The research model is divided into 2 phases. The 1st phase, Samples were 344 second-year undergraduate students of academic year 2021 in Faculty of Engineering of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). Research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used to analyze data were MANOVA, MCA, and Pearson’s correlation. The 2nd phase, There were the Administrator and the Lecturer responsible for curriculum of Faculty of Engineering. The interview were analyzed using content analysis.
The results showed that 1.overall, expectations were in the highest level has an average of 4.22, and perceptions were in a high level has an average of 3.76 , 2.students with different genders and majors had different level of expectations towards educational management, students with different majors and sources of information regarding educational management of the university before applying had different level of perceptions towards educational management, 3.overall expectations were positively correlated with overall perceptions at a statistical significance level (r=.400 sig.=.000). It was found that KMUTNB and KMUTT were similar in conceptual framework of educational management; practicality of internship in establishments and in laboratories were focused, in addition, curriculum emphasized OBE. In the future, every curriculum shall be developed to meet quality standards of organizations which is ABET and TABEE. This development shall encourage educational management to meet the same standards. Therefore, a collaboration lecturers is important for achieving this goal.
