The Economic and Social Impact from the COVID-19 Situation on the People in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract

Caused by the spread of the corona virus 2019 (Covid-19) in every corner of the world, affecting people in various areas. Especially the economic and social dimensions Until making the daily lifestyle change and have to adjust to keep up with the situation. The objectives are: 1) to study the economic and social impact; 2) to study the adaptation to the new normal behavior (New Normal Behavior) and 3) to study ways to solve problems and mitigate the economic and social impacts from the epidemic situation of the new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) of people in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. It is a quantitative research. The questionnaire was used with a questionnaire with 400 people aged 18 years and over in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. by using cluster sampling and simple sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation. The results of the research found that 1) economic and social impacts Overall, it was at a moderate level. by occupation that cannot be carried out normally received the most economic impact ( =4.29, S.D.=0.69)  while the entire education management system had the greatest social impact ( =3.97, S.D.=0.78)  2) There is an adjustment in both saving be as self-reliant as possible Increase channels to increase / earn money and need new skills for a career and wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing It's part of everyday life. and 3) approaches to mitigate socio-economic impacts. The government must have measures to help in various fields. suitable for each group of people clearly and easily accessible to the people Continuously educate and campaign about emerging diseases and the social sector and the people's sector. must take care of yourself.
