Guidelines for Developing a Growth Mindset of Private School Administrators

Abstract

The three objectives of this study were (1) to explore the formulations of strategies for nurturing the growth mindset of private school administrators in Nonthaburi Province; (2) to develop strategies for nurturing the growth mindset of private school administrators in Nonthaburi Province; and (3) to assess strategies for nurturing the growth mindset of private school administrators in Nonthaburi Province. This study employed a mixed-methods design. Data were collected from interviews and questionnaires administered with 88 private school administrators at the basic education level in Nonthaburi Province. The data were statistically analyzed by frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and PNI Modified.


Major findings: (1) On the formulations of strategies for nurturing the growth mindset of private school administrators in Nonthaburi Province, they included (a) efforts, (b) challenges, (c) mistakes, (d) feedback, and (e) others’ success; (2) On developing the strategies for nurturing the growth mindset of private school administrators in Nonthaburi Province, they included (a) analyzing the private school environments, (b) formulating strategies, (c) controlling and assessing the strategies, (d) developing leadership, and (e) implementing the strategies; and (3) On assessing the strategies for nurturing the growth mindset of private school administrators in Nonthaburi Province, they were feasible and appropriate.
