The Economics Value and Participation in Learning Process of Community of Conservation and Development Tourist Attraction Khao Nor - Khao Kaew BanDan Sub-district Banphotphisai District Nakhon Sawan Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to study the behavior of tourists in traveling to Khao Nor - Khao Kaew, BanDan Sub-district, Banphot Phisai District, 2) to assess the economic value arising from the use and non-use of natural resources in the tourist area of Khao Nor - Khao Kaew, BanDan Sub-district, Banphot Phisai District, and 3) to assess the outcomes of participation in the learning process of the community for the conservation and development of tourist attractions in Khao Nor - Khao Kaew, BanDan Sub-district, Banphot Phisai District Nakhon Sawan Province. The sampling group was 250 persons and the leaders of the community, including the people living in the area for 150 persons by using questionnaires Interview and test forms as tools for data collection and data analysis were used mean, percentages and estimation methods based on Logit, Probit and analyzing the Willingness to Pay (WTP)

The results showed that the analysis using the travel cost methods (TCM) for estimating the benefits of tourism around Khao Nor-Khao Kaew area appeared approximately 8,910,000 baht per year and analysis using the contingent valuation method (CVM) for evaluating the use and non-use of resources around the tourist area of Khao Nor - Khao Kaew with a value of approximately 1,480,000 baht and 127 million baht per year. Therefore, the total economy of value (EV) of the area around the Khao Nor - Khao Kaew area was 129,160,000 baht per year. When considering individually, it was found that 150 trainees (100 percent) got more points. The score increased between 3.00 - 8.00 which showed that this training affected towards the knowledge and understanding of the community learning process for the conservation and development of tourist attractions in Khao Nor - Khao Kaew, Ban Dan Sub-district, Banphot Phisai District Nakhon Sawan Province Resulting in 100% of the trainees had got more knowledge, understanding and were interested in and realized of the value and cherish their resources more
