Promotion of political Behavior in Democratic System of students In high school, Municipality School 5, Muang District, Songkhla Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were to study the promotion of political behavior and guidelines for promoting of political behavior in democratic system of student in high school, Municipality school 5, Muang district, Songkhla province. The sample group consisted of 205 high school students. Samples were defined using Krejci and Morgan's ready-made tables. Seven of key informants were selected by purposive sampling. The research tools were questionnaires and interviews. Statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The research results found that: 1) the overall of the promotion of political behavior in democratic system of student in high school was at the highest level. When considering each aspect from highest to lowest, it was found that the highest average was implementation, followed by attitude and knowledge. 2) Guidelines for promoting political behavior and governance in a democratic system include: (1) providing knowledge about democracy in various forms (2) interpolating democratic governance content into the curriculum at every level (3) promotion of continuous democracy campaign activities (4) promoting proactive, practical teaching and learning (5) providing a forum for students to express their political opinions under strong supervision (6) supporting the establishment of political groups or clubs (7) giving importance to information or proposals regarding correct and independent democratic conduct, and (8) promoting and supporting families to participate in counseling regarding students' democratic conduct.
