The Guidelines for Innovative Leadership Development of School Administrators under Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Office

Abstract
The objectives of this research were (1) to explore the current and desired conditions of the innovative leadership of school administrators, (2) to compare the current and desired conditions of the innovative leadership of school administrators, and (3) to propose the guidelines for the innovative leadership development of school administrators under Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Office. This mixed methods research used the innovative leadership development concept as a conceptual framework. The scope of research was schools under Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Office. The sample size determination was according to Yamane Formula. The 336 samples were teachers through stratified random sampling. The research data were collected through questionnaires, semi-structured interview, and evaluation form, and analyzed with percentage, mean, standard deviation, Priority Needs Index Modified, and t-test.
The major findings were as follows:
- On the current condition of the innovative leadership of school administrators aspect,
it was at the moderate level while the desired condition of the innovative leadership of school administrators was at the high level. - On the comparison of the current and desired conditions of the innovative leadership of school administrators under Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Office aspect, it had significant differences at the statistical level of .05.
- On the guidelines for the innovative leadership development of school administrators under Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Office aspect according to descending order of priority needs were (1) change agent, (2) vision, (3) motivation, (4) teamwork, and (5) creativity.
The knowledge from this research is beneficial for school administrators to improve
the innovative leadership and the school administration.
