DESIGN BED FOR BEDRIDDEN SEVERE DEPENDENCE IN SEMI-URBAN NORTHEASTERN AREA.

This article comes from a research study. The objectives are as follows: 1) to study the condition of bedridden patients in the northeastern region. 2) to design the bed for bedridden patients in the research area and 3) to assess the satisfaction of bed use by caregivers and bedridden patients in the research area. There is a way of producing from the wisdom of the local technician. It is a qualitative research and there is a method to select the target group using ADL score between 5-13 points. This group of patients is very common in the area by going to the storage space in Dan Sai district, Loei province, consisting of 15 people. This group is used as supplementary information in design specifications. The research uses the tools for collecting interview data, observation form and survey form using local materials to produce hardwood, combined with the techniques of local craftsmen, to produce beds to suit the target group. In summary, the bed design must be a bed that can be adjusted, can be easily transported, suitable for transportation, and also help facilitate the caregiver.
