การศึกษาสภาพและผลกระทบของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในประเทศไทย (A STUDY OF IMPACT AND SITUATION OF TUTORIAL SCHOOLS IN THAILAND)

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อการศึกษาสภาพและผลกระทบของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในประเทศไทย โดยมีขั้นตอนการวิจัย 2 ขั้นตอนคือ ขั้นที่ 1 จัดสนทนากลุ่มผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จำนวน 10 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสัมภาษณ์และแบบบันทึกข้อมูลการสนทนากลุ่มเพื่อวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ขั้นที่ 2 การศึกษาความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับสภาพและผลกระทบของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในประเทศไทย มีกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูล 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ ผู้บริหาร จำนวน 12 คน ผู้สอน จำนวน 48 คน ผู้เรียน จำนวน 240 คน ผู้ปกครอง จำนวน 60 คน ดำเนินการเก็บข้อมูลจากโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในประเทศไทย ปีการศึกษา 2554 จำนวน 12 โรงเรียน จากผู้ให้ข้อมูลใน 4 ภูมิภาค ๆ ละ 3 โรงเรียน โดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่ได้จากแบบสอบถาม ใช้วิธีคำนวณค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. การศึกษาสภาพของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในประเทศไทย โดยภาพรวม พบว่า ความคิดเห็นของผู้ให้ข้อมูลในการตอบแบบสอบถามมีความสอดคล้องกัน ซึ่งมีความคิดเห็นอยู่ในระดับมากทั้ง 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านบริบทของโรงเรียนกวดวิชา และสภาพภายในของโรงเรียนกวดวิชา โดยด้านบริบทของโรงเรียนกวดวิชา พบว่า ผู้ให้ข้อมูล มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับสภาพของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาอยู่ในระดับมากทุกประเด็นย่อยคือ สถานที่สำคัญใกล้เคียง รองลงมา ทำเลที่ตั้งสะดวกในการเดินทาง และสภาพสังคม ความเจริญด้านเทคโนโลยี มีร้านอาหารและเครื่องดื่มบริการแก่ผู้เรียน มีสถานที่จอดรถสะดวกสบาย และเศรษฐกิจของชุมชน ค่านิยมของผู้ปกครอง ตามลำดับ และด้านสภาพภายในของโรงเรียนกวดวิชา ผู้ให้ข้อมูลมีความคิดเห็นในระดับมากทุกประเด็นย่อย คือ ทรัพยากรการบริหาร กระบวนการจัดการ และผลลัพธ์

2. การศึกษาผลกระทบของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในประเทศไทย โดยภาพรวม พบว่า ความคิดเห็นของผู้ให้ข้อมูลในการตอบแบบสอบถามมีความสอดคล้องกัน ซึ่งมีความคิดเห็นอยู่ในระดับมากทั้ง 4 ด้าน คือ ผลกระทบด้านการศึกษา ผลกระทบด้านเศรษฐกิจ ผลกระทบด้านสังคม ผลกระทบด้านค่านิยมและจิตวิทยา ตามลำดับ

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to study the situation and impact of tutorial schools in Thailand. The study process included two steps, the focus group of 10 specialists and the survey of the opinion towards situation and impact of tutorial schools in Thailand. The first process; the instruments were a set of questionnaires and the record of the conversation. The second process; the information was from stratified sampling of 12 tutorial schools of 4 regions in Thailand in the academic year of 2011. The four groups of respondents in each tutorial school were 12 administrators, 48 instructors, 240 students and 60 parents respectively. The statistic analysis employed was by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.

The study found as follows:

1. The situation of tutorial schools in total picture was described that the opinion of the respondents were harmonious a high level for both external and internal aspects of tutorial schools. In the external part, the respondents showed opinions at high level in all aspects, including important places nearby, conveniences of the location as well as the situation of society and technology. Other aspects included food and refreshment, availability of parking area, economy of local community and beliefs of parents. For the Internal part, the respondents also revealed their opinions at high ranks in sub-aspects, administration resources, administration process and results.

2. The study of impact toward tutorial schools in Thailand in total picture were described that the opinion of the respondents were harmonious at a high level for all 4 aspects; the impact towards education, economy, society as well as belief and psychology.
