A Study of Student Discipline Strengthening in Schools in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization

Abstract

This research was aimed to study a guideline in student discipline strengthening in schools in Bangyai district under Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, to compare the opinion towards student discipline strengthening in schools, and to propose a guideline in student discipline strengthening in schools in Bangyai district under Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization. The data were collected from 210 samples consisting of teachers, students and students’ parents and then analyzed by percentage, mean and standard deviation.

The study results found that:

1. The opinion of teachers, students and students’ parents towards student discipline strengthening was at the high level overall and in aspect. The highest level started with work responsibility, followed by personal responsibility, dress code, and punctuality respectively.


2. The comparative results of opinion of teachers, students and students’ parents towards student discipline strengthening were not in a different level.


3. The guidelines in student discipline strengthening in schools in Bang Yai district under Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization are as follows;

3.1 In work responsibility, activities enhancing student discipline should be regularly arranged both inside and outside classroom in order to have students work together and express their responsibility.

3.2 In personal responsibility, action-based activities should be arranged for students to encourage their responsibility and sacrifice to others.

3.3 In punctuality, the punctual students in study and work should be rewarded and praised and the unpunctual ones should be trained, recommended and/or punished.

3.4 In dress code, there should a campaign on school dress code and a contest on proper school uniform wearing. At the same time, there should be measurement and penalty for improper school uniform wearing.
